y dad passed away the 14th of August. Blaine was working on our place and met me in Montana for the funeral. I've started to post pictures. Let's hope 2008 doesn't get any worse, oh wait...

ince we seem to blog once a year, here's the update. We just got back from Hawaii visiting Blaine's best friend. I got to see a different, goofy side to Blaine and I loved it!
It's been a busy, but fairly quiet year which is an incredibly nice change. (I feel like I should knock on wood!) Just been roadtrippin quite a bit, nothing as crazy as last year. Although all of last year's flights collected enough points to pay for all our travels this year:) Gotta love frequent flyer!!

Back in California

e have come full circle and are back in California for a little while to make a buck and so that I can finish Law School. We've taken advantage of being back in the state and spent the weekend in Mammoth while the fires took out Southern California. Then I just spent a delightfully horrid week in Carmel. Beautiful setting... rancid circumstances. This weekend we are playing in Santa Barbara! How does it get any better? It was so fun to see alot of you in New York City and we hope to see even more of you for Christmas!

n August we sealed my mom and dad together. They had an appointment set for this spring and then... well, we got it done! It was a good day and I'm glad I was able to see alot of you the same weekend!

Europa!

just got home from Northern Europe... and I couldn't be happier to be back! Although I thoroughly enjoyed London, the rest left little to be desired. I also erased so many pictures from the first portion of my trip... sorry! We started off visiting my good friends in London, then visited family in Germany and Denmark, then spent a long week in Sweden and finally back to London for a day before flying home. We've also closed on our property, but I think we'll wait to start building until after the snow melts next spring. Wish us luck!!!

Down Unda

e just got home from Australia and we didn't want to come back. Of course Blaine has been to Sydney, but we covered some new unexplored territory. We started off on Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays for 5 days where the cockatoos invaded the island like seagulls on the beach. There we played with Koalas, fed Kangaroos, collected shells at lowtide, hiked to the highest peak. Then on to Cairns for 5 days where we parasailed, bungy jumped, rode the minjin swing, played on jet skis, went wild on "Old Mabel," drove into the rainforest on ATV's, had a guided tour through the bush with an aboriginal elder, rafting, ate Kangaroo, Emu and Croc, snorkling and scuba diving out at the great barrier reef (Blaine got SO sea sick!)went on a semi-submarine, learned how to toss a boomerang and spears, ate green ants, played a didgeridoo, rode a train and a gondola through the rain forest, fed turtles and eels and drove past the same field of wallabies boxing 8 times. Then back to Sydney for 4 days where we toured china town, Hyde park, darling harbor, the aquarium, shopped at "the rocks" market, ate at the pancake factory (it's not like the cheesecake factory like we were told... they actually sell nothing but pancakes oddly enough.) walked the harbor bridge, rented paddle boars, played at Luna Park, got on the wrong ferry and got an extra hour tour of sydney for free (we like free), fed sharks, some of our group dove with the sharks, watched fireworks over the opera house, went to olympic park and took photos of the aquatic center, toured the national opal museum. We took a guided tour out to the blue mountains where we went abseiling and fed BIRDS (they were really pretty though, so if I am to suffer death by bird it might as well be a really pretty one) And that's all. Sidenote: Australians are obsessed with Nicole Kidman so we got to see about as many Nicole Kidman sites as we did Kangaroo fields.

Potato Land!

'm in Boise, Idaho playing with Gina's kids. SO much fun! Wednesday was Vanessa's last day of school so afterwards we went to Build-a-Bear, ran ourselves silly through the mall, played at the pet store and then had a "Preschooler and Penny Popcorn and Presentation Party" We only named it that, so we'd have something to laugh at when Kyle would try to repeat it:) Yesterday we played in the park, went to Fire and Ice (a place where you paint ceramics- I realized I hadn't really thought that one through when I saw Kyle's eyes light up at all the breakable stuff when we walked in the door!) and then went to Cold Stone for, what else... ICE CREAM!!! Kyle dance for the whole store. We made a circle around him while he was breakin' and left after he tagged another 3 year old. Today we went to the discovery zone. Vanessa said her favorite thing was the centrifugal force thing that you sit on and it spit you out onto the ground and of course Kyle loved screaming at the top of his lungs in the echo tube. Sure, people were staring, but I would just translate for them. Tonight we are playing at Boondocks... it's like Chucky Cheese on Speed. Tomorrow we're going to the zoo and renting a paddle boat for the pond and Sunday we CRASH! Mostly this is for Gina, so she can feel like she was here... even though she is having so much fun in wonderful Boston!

s per your request, we've downloaded the only pictures we've taken since being in Colorado. For our anniversary we hiked to the Fairy Caves in Glenwood Springs. For Blaine's birthday we had a little party for him and then went three wheeling in Twin Lakes. We've played in NYC a couple of times since being here and we're heading to Australia next week. Hope you're all doing fabulous!

y mom was in a car accident on Jan 23rd. So Blaine and I drove to Montana for the funeral. I've posted some pictures of the trip. Let's hope that 2007 is better than it started out!!!

erry Christmas Family and Friends! Blaine and I just got back from our quick road trip to New Orleans. As it was raining buckets, we didn't get any pictures of the Big Easy, but we did get some photos of the gorgeous beach by Jenny and Corey's house. If you haven't gone to see them... YOU NEED TO! Their house is so beautiful and they live in a really cute community AND the beach is amazing. Merry Christmas to all!

Day at Disney

enny and Corey and kids came to visit and go to Disney so we thought we'd join in this time. We hit 4 theme parks in ONE day: Animal Kingdom, MGM, Epcot and Magic Kingdom. If we skim over the day with the photos, I apologize, but we had to keep things moving:) Finally, we'd like to thank Fastpass for making all things possible.

oday was family day at NASA. It was the first time civilians were allowed in since 9/11 and my uncle gave us the grand tour. I've added pictures, so that everyone can say they've been there now

Moving again

kay... I've always been a nomad, but now I think I have Blaine on board. We are moving again. This time to Aspen, Colorado. I've taken another assistant position there and Blaine will be doing his mechanic work as well as carpentry. We don't leave until January '07 so we're going to try to cram as much Florida exploration in as possible. Let us know if you want to come play in FL before we move!

Updating Photos

e're not as quick as Gina to get 4000 pictures up for your viewing pleasure. Considering there are only a dozen or so that cover a 3 month span, we are a tad lazy with the camera. In May we had a housewarming party and Blaine's birthday party. July 4th we stood across the river and watched Kennedy Space Center launch the Shuttle Discovery and then on July 8th we went kayaking with the manatees. We've got quite a few guests coming in the next few months, so hopefully that means we'll get to see even more of where we live! Come one, come all:) Love to all!
